NFA Items – Silencers / SBS / SBR
NFA Items, also known as Title II firearms, are weapons regulated under the National Firearms Act, enforced by the ATF. In Connecticut, certain NFA items, including silencers, short-barrel shotguns, and short-barrel rifles are legal to own! Legally acquiring these items simply requires filing paperwork to get them registered. Our team at Central Connecticut Arms LLC will help you fill out the necessary forms so that you can get registered to legally own a silencer, SBS, or SBR without the hassle.
Suppressors, also known as “silencers,” are a device that is mounted to a gun to reduce the acoustic intensity and recoil from a gunshot. Though these devices are often associated with criminals in action films, silencers are actually an essential tool designed to increase the safety of sport shooters.
Repeated exposure to gunshots can cause noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). silencers effectively reduce the decibel level of a gunshot from 165 to 135, mitigating the risk of eardrum trauma. They can also increase accuracy and aim, as they reduce recoil.
